Our ethical and sustainable credentials are incredibly important to us at RAINE CLOTHING, and that’s why, when it comes to sourcing our manufacturing and supply partners, we really go the extra mile to ensure that they share the values we hold dear. That’s why we prioritise working with partners that are members of the Fair Wear Foundation – and today, we’re sharing a little more about exaclty what that means for our ethical clothing!

What is the Fair Wear Foundation?
The Fair Wear Foundation is a non-profit organisation which has one key goal at its heart: creating a more ethical clothing industry. They aim to support those working within the garment industry to exercise their right to safe and properly paid employment, with a special focus on the most labour-intensive aspects of clothes manufacturing, like sewing and pattern cutting, to ensure fairer working conditions for all.
What criteria do the Fair Wear Foundation ask their manufacturers to meet?
For a manufacturer or supplier to become a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, they must undergo assessments by impartial third party investigators to ensure their working conditions are up to standard, providing safe, dignified, and fairly paid employment for all those who work within their production services. They must also agree to be rigorous in ensuring conditions stay fair for their workers, and working environments are kept to the expected standards.
What does this mean for RAINE Clothing?
We at RAINE Clothing prioritise partnering with manufacturers and suppliers who are members of the Fair Wear Foundation, which means you can purchase our products with confidence that they are incredibly ethical clothing choices – eco-friendly and with a guarantee of fair treatment for those involved in the manufacturing process. Where any potential suppliers or manufacturers aren’t Fair Wear Foundation members, we undertake vigorous research and checks to ensure that our ethical standards are met, so we are always prioritising ethical, fair, and sustainable values.
